Join us for a great day of deep sea sportfishing or bottom fishing aboard Strike Zone, a 43' Delta departing from Ma'alaea Harbor.

One of the only fishing boats that allows you to keep your catch on bottom fishing trips and are pleased to share their catch with you on sportfishing trips!

Morning Sportfishing Charters
3 days a week, accommodating far more passengers than nearly all fishing boats on Maui. Depending upon weather conditions and the species being recently caught, the boat usually high-speed trolls the offshore waters of Maui, Lanai and Koho'olawe as the captain and crew search for signs of fish. On any given day it is possible to encounter any or all of the classic big game trophy fish including Pacific Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Striped Marlin, Shortbilled Spearfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Skipjack Tuna, Mahi Mahi and Ono.

Bottom Fishing Charters
Strike Zone offers both morning and afternoon bottom fishing charters. It typically takes about an hour to reach some of our most productive spots, and we may fish a few different locations on any given trip. Locations for that day are determined by whatÕs been biting recently as well as current weather conditions.

Frequently caught species of fish include many varieties of snapper, trevally, wrasse, sea bass and the occasional shark. Anglers are invited to keep their catch. WeÕll even give you a few tips on how best to prepare it!

On the way to and from our bottom fishing destinations, we often high-speed troll for big game to make the most of our running time. By doing this, we have a chance of hooking up to any or all of the classic big game trophy fish such as marlin, tuna, Mahi Mahi or Ono.

Morning Bottom Fishing Charters
$168 + tax per angler (up to 15 anglers)

Afternoon Bottom Fishing Charters

Available Times: Check-in 1:00 pm (fish from 1:30pm-5:30pm)

Strike Zone can accommodate up to 28 passengers for private charters. Catering available. Perfect for families, private parties, popular bachelor party idea!

Ok, you've got your fish of all fish. Now what? Pictures sure, but that can't do your fish justice, but fishprinting can!

I'll take your actual fish, and using waterbased paints carefully paint your fish. Then lay rice paper or cloth on the fish and delicately rub to create a detailed image of your fish. It started in Japan and has been around for centuries. It's called Gyotaku. (fish printing). Forget the fiberglass mounts, they are to exspensive and not even your actual fish. Snacks & drinks provided for afternoon bottom fishing trips. No license of experience required. Sportfishing not recommended for children under the age of 9. Bottom fishing not recommended for children under the age of 6. Sunblock, swimsuit, hat, sunglasses, towel recommended.
